Ok, so when i walk the streets when its dark i like to look at the stars. Because theyre there, theyre a mystery, theyre fascinating...But, i get odd looks for doing this.(I even get odd looks from neighbours for doing this in my own garden.) My question is-why dont people look up at the stars when theyre there? Some people have never actually looked properly at the stars, couldnt recognise constellations etc...Its almost like theyre afraid to look up there. But i dont understand why. I love to do it...to just look and wonder. It can be really magical. I just find it a shame that some people dont seem to be curious at all about them. Xx
Because if you walk around not looking where you're going you'll walk into people, into traffic.... In New York City you'll get TRAMPLED. Don't try it
Bleh, i live in a country area. Theyve got no excuse. Anyway, howd you explain the miserable neighbours? They think im a witch puttin curses on them jus because i actually look up there!
I Always Look at the Stars... They are so Beautiful... But I Live in a Town...And I can't See Them Very Well...There's Always a Building to Block the View...And the Sky is Never Very Clear... *sigh*
I always look at the stars. It would be a shame not to. So many people have lost touch with nature around them, they really should try and get back to their roots.
the stars are cool, especially when i'm at school in vermont. at school, theres no inner city disturbances when i look up in the sky, its just a clear sky with the stars and the moon. in boston, its hazy and what not, and all the skyscrapers, so its not as good as vermont....
From time to time I will sit in the dark and smoke and watch the stars.....its great. More often I will have a fire going but still look.
i loveeee looking up at the stars. and wishing on them! i didn't start actuallypaying attention to them until the summer. and believe it or not. i've seen two shooting stars. it was the cutest thingggg. me and this boywere on the hill enjoying our sushi at night. and i think it started off as tickling and then one of us almost fell. and right after i/he helped me/him up one shooting star went by. i was so exited cause it was the first one i had everr seen. and then the next one came. best night everr.
I say f*ck everyone else...you have to be who you are...so what you have a curious nature...everyone should be in touch with that side. I say it's great that you are.
one more reason cities are not the most wonderful places to live. making the best of where you are is part of life though. i'll never forget the night sky when i worked out in the middle of nevada on a core drill one summer, driving the water truck down to the creek and laying on my back on top of the tank waiting for it to fill. singing with the coyotes and seeing more of them little lights up there i know to be the suns arround which other worlds orbit then you can ever immagine exist if you've never seen em that way.
I look every day. I love it too for some reason I also get sscared to look, maybe Im scare of what I might see I dont know. but none the less I still do love the stars. I always find something new about them when I look
Stars and The Ocean have always been my main source of inspiration in life, at times it seems that they are the only source of mystery left. I love to look at them and try to imagine life up there somewhere with senses completely different than ours, with vision that sees a whole spectrum of colors that we can't. No matter how far technology "advances", they will always be somewhat enigmatic......At least until we find a way to harvest and drain them to fuel our intergalactic Hummers
