I am wondering if there is anything I should know about Australia before I arrive. I will try to work on an organic farm with my girlfriend, we still haven't decided which one. Later she starts school at Wolongong. I don't have a working visa currently but I would either like to get one or find a way to make money out there by other means because I need to pay my bills, but I would love to stay out there as long as possible. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated, I leave January 1st. -Peace
Dont get bit by any Bugs WHILE THERE! you might not come back to the U.S. well maybe in the cargo bay in a metal box.
i knew that a long time ago when they shove down YOUR THROAT the strict gun bans and laws same with the U.K.
BUT Australia is so big and desolated you prob could hide easy 2/4 hour drive away from the few big citys. VERY few places you could do that i the U.S. WELL maybe Alaska.
Watch out for drop bears. They are a carnivourus marsupial known to drop from gum trees and attack humans. If you're coming stop by Arizona and pick us up some peyote In all seriousness, Australia is a beatuiful big open space and very laid back. The police wont really bother you unless you're an activist. Australia's pretty easy to get around, I wouldn't worry too much about preparation. I guess the best advice if you want to see the sites, don't necessarily jusrt go to all the famous ones filled with Japanese and Amercan tourists and uurgh, old people. Its a big place and you can find some awesome out of the way places, hope that helps.
