Prayer Without Boundaries: Prayer for Peace

fuck I hope I'm able to stay awake. This damn headcold is really messing me up. I'll do my best...

 

If we graph the prayers mathematically, number of prayers vs. time, we will end up with a sin wave.

It's pronounced "Sign". You know, like a sign that I love you.

 

2005 going on 2006 the the prayers have not done much.

ooo I wanna pray to!! Imma pray for God to show everyone his love and his peace

 

its actually been proven apparently they did a study, and even if you dont know a person, just their name and sickness, you can help their healing.

i dont believe just any ol' prayers are answered, so don't expect a mercedes to fall from the sky anytime soon... but heartfelt prayers with emotion that come from the depths of our heart when we dare enter them, well, you'd be surprised i think. i dont find that their really answered the way you intend them to be, its sordove a be careful which you wish for type thing in my experience... but you still notice some really amazing things if you open up to 'em i think.

i personally am sold on prayer.. but the whole world peace thing is the one i have trouble buying. cant even get peace in my house, and ive even seen fights break out at hippie concerts, world peace? we gotta loooooong way to go and a whole helluva lot to learn and experience, if were even gonna go...

but i still think the thought and intent of this is great, and i will say a prayer for all sentient beings to find peace and happiness, i try to a lot

 

ooohh ooohh I am 35 minutes late (or 25 minutes early for the next time zone). I will be the trailing edge of the curve. I pray for, umm, well, I hope people learn fast so they don't suffer.

 

Shoot, I slept right through it.

I'll do it in a couple minutes anyway.

I wrote that "not sold on prayer" thing last year at this time, and though I'm still not sure about it, I do it anyways, in conjunction with meditation. I still think prayer is more for he who prays than actually accomplishing the prayer (sort of like that quote by Kahlil Gibran that SvgGrdnBeauty posted), but maybe you're right and it does help. Can't hurt, anyways.

Anyways, my prayer was basically the same, for people to find peace, happiness and light, and to overcome the ignorance and darkness in their lives.
