America screening people for radioactivity

First of all I'd have posted this in the america attacks forum, but since im not a member here will have to do...

Is it just me or have the main news websites (CNN, BBC, etc.) stopped covering the story that America is screening muslims for radioactivity? I hope they have but the damage has now been done.

Not that I'm against the idea, far from it! I reckon that everyone should be screened..if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear from it. Im just quite annoyed that the story has been leaked. I can't imagine who would have leaked such an thing, now if any terrorists are making a bomb they will know to avoid busy places and Mosques. This is the latest thing to be on the news that is ridiculous and should not have been made common knowlege. Anyone else feel the same?

Oh dear. How clear do I have to make it? They are monitoring ANYONE that passes busy places and mosques. You seem to be taking a stand against a point I am not making. Im speaking about the media covering stories which should not be made public.

Sorry, I should have said at the start this thread was for folks who had read the story and had a point to make like the last part of your latest post. Why if the police are so wise about not giving out information on crimes can the American government not do the same?

Right, definately last post before sleep. They are not stopping anyone from what the story says, thay have been monitoring people for a while now (2002?). I dont know how they do it, and I hope I will never find out! Im annoyed that now anyone with bad intentions knows about it now, and will be able to avoid it, making it a complete waste of time. Before it could have been an effective way of preventing something horrible and inhumane happening, now it is useless. Goodnight

what the fuck is the point of continuing the screening if they have turned up no bombs since they started three years ago? dont you think its been pretty damn safe and that probably nothing will change?

and dont go saying "well it would be confidential if they did turn up any"... this administration needs all the good publicity it can get.

 

Since when is being radioactive a crime? Sounds to me like they're trying to find the undercover identity of Spider-Man or somesuch.

 

You forgot many hospitals have radioactive machines to treat cancer.

So what are you saying, because someone hasn't had a weapon up untill now, they cant get hold of one in the future? There is obviously a risk or they would not be screening.

My auntie just went through chemotherapy(sp?) How forgetfull of me. Im sure they will be able to tell who is radioactive for a good reason and who is not by using health records.

As far as im aware it never has been, but I think making a bomb is.

ah yes, just like there have been 14714513467 warnings from the government that a terrorist attack is imminent. there have been no terrorist attacks on american soil since 9/11.

timothy mcveigh wasnt muslim, and neither was that dude at the '96 olympics, and the abortion clinic bombers were white too... last "muslim" bombing that occurred on american soil was in 1993, and many people arent completely sold on that one either.
