Uh, the reason why Charles Manson and David waz his face are still alive is because at the time of Manson's trial the death penalty was not an option in CA. As for the dude who shot Lennon, I think he was spared the death penalty because of mental incompetence or something. They say that as a person dies their true spirit is exposed. The man died in defiance. Angry and unrepentant for any of the evil he had committed in his life. Reform? Well here's a good example of what true reform will cause a person to do. Make ammends. During his 25 years in prison did William's ever say "I'm sorry?" Did he ever confess to crimes that he got away with? He only started doing anything positive the last ten years of his sentence. I find it hard to believe that this guy repented, accepted Christ as his savior and turned his life over to God! Had he done so, he could have gone to his death in peace whether he was innocent of the murders that sent him there or not. Also, looking forward to and having confidence in his own spiritual state, I think he would have used the opportunity to share his witness in the hope of saving other lives here in this world. What do you accomplish with a lifetime in prison.....you can't really do that much.....except evaluate yourself and what you have done (probably why he turned towards god). The bottom line is he killed someone, well more than one person multiple times, he took someones life, and took someone elses family member. -Why does everyone think he should get special treatment, just because he said he turned his life towards god? A drug addict can be admitted to a drug clinic and in four months say, i am a changed man i wont do drugs and I believe in god I am a changed man.....what happens to most of those people, they relapse and get addicted again. -Statistics show that 75% (rough figure) of inmates that arer released come back for some type of crime (hello he didnt stop killing after the first person)

the first 15 years of tookie prison career was basically fights, throwing chemicals in gaurds faces(two occasions that ive read of maybe more) and sexual misconduct with a female visitor, and heres a nice little quote from tookie to a guard "you are looking around too much and that's not your job. I have dusted many officers on the street, one more would not make any difference."
Unreal. It makes you wonder if this guy really did change his life in prison or if it was just convenient timing in order to garner sympathy and some fame. An ex-con (as in 30 year sentence violent offender) once told me that you can never know who is for real. He knows all about the 'remorseful' bit and made his point by saying I dont even know if he is really changed or not (then gave me the freakiest grin btw). You gotta know that with sociopaths and psychopaths - they do and say whatever they think others want to see and hear (if it benefits them). Their so good even the best psychologists say you cant really 'know' who is real and who is not.

In 1991 there were alot of crip's moving to Las Vegas, they were making top story every night on the new's. Isn't it true that both of Tookies's books together sold less than 400 copies? My gosh, anyone could self publish a book and sell that much I'd believe. I am totally disappointed with American media. So much attention to the killer but hardly any space given to victims. WHY?
