What happened to no worries?

Maybe I simply need a new group of trippin buddies. But it seems to me that anymore, when we trip, anyone who doesn't act sober, or who does anything out of the ordinary, is ridiculed. Not in a "laughing with them" kind of way. More like a "look at that idiot" way. Has anyone else noticed this? Has it become "uncool" to be fucked up when you're fucked up? I have always believed that was one of the most fun parts. Afriend of mine tripped with me recently for the 1st time. ( i stayed sober) another friend dropped by and made her feel ridiculous. Now obviously, she wasn't acting in a "normal" way. but since when is that a problem? she also wasn't acting completely bizarre. i know feel bad for her b/c i feel that what could have been an amazing experience has been ruined.

 

i know exactly what you mean. except for with me its with weed. some people i know think that if you act sober while high, you are a mature and more professional smoker. i however am not in it for being seen as a "cool" or impressing others. im in it for getting high. thats what drugs are for. if i wanted to be seen as mature i would not be doing drugs. now i dont know how you can act normal on psychedelics. when i used to do acid i would turn into the tweeked out, paranoid, reincarnation of hunter s. thompson. i couldnt help it, and sometimes i was oblivious to me acting any different. i have to give some props to your friends for acting sober while tripping. but i give them a big thumbs down on being bitches. just kidding. just remember to always stay true to yourself and what you believe in. if you follow that path, you will find happiness sprinkled all along the way.

 

why do drugs to act sober, when im high i act how i feel i dont care

 

yeah i mean, wuts the point if you have to restrict yourself from having fun and acting the way you feel

 

I just do whatever i want and act however when im high. usually im just mellow. but with trippin, of course shell be acting weird. theyre shrooms, they make things weird. nothing wrong with that.

 

I think that pretending to be sober while tripping balls is next to impossible. However, members of tripping crew might tuned to different levels, in different moods and percept the things differently coz all ppl are unique individuals.

When I'm tripping I love doing silly things, laugh like a shit etc. as well, but one former friend of mine declares this as a gradual waste of time, coz in his point of view - sittin, staring to the fireplace and contemplating about the universe is the only worthy way how to spend a psychedelic trip.

those people suck, but they need to be opened up. some of my friends thought i was a bit crazy when they started smokin weed with me but then i tried to tune them into my zone and ive got them to start thinkning about things.

for me, when i get stoned, i will start up a conversation perhaps totally randomly about some phenomenom and the brilliant reasoning behind it. or i will ask someone some question about one of these phenomenom of the universe that im not sure about.. usually just so i can try and answer it myself and in doing so, learn more. people are much more open to discuss things when stoned, i love to take advantage of this and trying to.. switch people on

 

I know how you feel, im starting to get annoyed by one of my friends when I have been tripping on DOC lately, he just hasnt tripped alot, maybe he will change. But yea I know exactly how you feel, I act so much different than I used to, seem alot more mature with my highs.

 

I had a trip sitter last time i shroomed who told me there was a zombie underneath my car (turned out to be a trash bag).
That wasn't cool.

 

Dude. I totally know what you guys mean. I think it probably all depends on the group you're with. My experience is only weed, by the way.

Some newbies I smoke with are all like "wow man I'm fuckin' stoned" and jump around and stuff. But then, some people who I smoke with who have been smoking for a while are a lot...different. I like to talk a lot when I'm high, and they were like "Heyyy, man. Chill." Which was a bummer for me.

I get high so I don't have to worry about what I do, either. I just do what I want. Which is usually talking. It's kinda funny actually. I usually have a sore throat for a day or two from talking so much (mixing with the effects of the smoke).

Then theres people with low self-estiem, they mock the weakling on drugs because theyt hink they wont remember ,hah

 

I guess, we have to distinguish between two completely situations:


When you´re trippin with a group of friends and nobody else is around (e.g. at somebodies house, flat, garden...), then imho it´s o.k. just to freak out and have a good time. Do what you want, we´re among ourselves. That´s what these kinds of trips are for, just to have fun.
But if you´re with people who aren´t tripping, especially among people you don´t know and who also don´t know that you´re tripping right now, it´s better to stay in the background. A visit at a museum or circus or (one of my favorites) fireworks display may be such a situation. These situations also always require a sitter, who helps you to stay unobstrusive. You´re having fun, but there´s no need to show that to everybody. People who can´t stay quiet in such situations and have the urge to provoke while trippin are responsible for lots of reservations against drugs in our society.
