Death is not always bad, or sad. I am sorry you had to see that. Was it something like a heart attack or had he just been sitting there?
My mother has been a nurse for over 30 years and has seen death at times on a daily basis (she works with a lot of critical care patients). However, it still upsets her nearly every single time. She becomes very attached to many of her patients, and it just crushes her when they pass on. Death may be a part of life, but not everyone deals with it in the same way. Me, I'm absolutely terrified of death. I have been with loved ones while they have taken their last breaths, and it's just haunting. You never forget it. I myself almost died 2.5 years ago after the birth of my twins. I fought like heck, and made it through a very critical condition, amazing the medical staff at my determination and willpower. I would have reacted with the same feelings as you did with seeing even a stranger die. It just goes to show how fragile life really is, and it really hits home. You never know when your time will come. That's why I firmly believe in living your life in a manner which brings you the most peace, happiness, and harmony, not taking your days for granted, and always trying to find the positive even in the darkest situations.
last year my friend and cousin got into a car wreck and they both died. I felt sorry for my friend's sister who had to go identify (sp?) her body. One eye was open and her mouth was full of blood. R.I.P. Nikki and Marvin

I will have to agree, I have been with two relatives when they passed away, and me a grown man, and I couldn't stop the tears. It is hard!
man, has anyone on here heard about that woman in ohio who'se fam. kept her body in there home? the woman apparently thought she was gon come back to life. she told 'em not to show her body while she was dead. they didn't. and she stayed in a chair in a cooled room for 2 1/2 years, until the window unit broke down. they said you could smell the death from outside... any ways. i basically live right down a very long street from the city where that happened.
one time when my friends went up to Clifftop (music festival) they passed a guy that was laying on teh ground they just thought he was passed out when the came back to him about 3 hours later the ambulance was there they found out he was dead my friend told me he thought "man, that guy looks kinda blue"
