Fear and Loathing, unlke most acid films was extremely effective in recreating the visual and sensory effects of tripping. Being in the visual effects industry myself, I'd love the opportunity and budget to have a crack at it (No Stoners, I didn't say "Crack Addict").
I forgot Yellow Submarine. And The Wall. Fast Times isnt that great of a stoner movie. There should've been an entire movie on Spicoli.
totally the original reefer madness and the new musical, cause i think it is awesome when characters break out in song. Also Dazed and confused and HAIR (i love musicals) oh and steal this movie, that started my facination with abbie hoffman and jewish men
For sure, it's "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" in my book. I could watch that high a million times and never be bored or stop laughing.
Possibley dazed and confused if i wanna be cliche.... but recently i saw a film from 1970 called "a man called horse", with richard harris. He is this english noble that goes to america and is captured by indians, and works his way from being a slave to actually becoming their chief in the end. Its a totally awesome film, and actually showed indians in a REALLY favourable light... so it was a pioneering film for that time... usually indians were just savages in movies. TOTAL thumbs up Peace and Love
Dazed & Confused is awesome and number 1. I always like listening to Cheech and Chong more than I did watching their movies. You laugh so much more just listening to 'Dave's not here" when your off your ass and held captive just by the comedy and not the filmed action.
dazed and confused for me... slater is my idol that movie is my rocky horror picture show I can watch it everyday and not get bored same with yellow submarine
I'd have to say... Almost Famous, Half Baked, Alice in wonderland, Dazed and Confused, Around the Fire, The Banger Sisters (the scene when they're smoking is so funny) Zeppelin How the West Was Won is awesome when stoned too.. hell its awesome anyways... oh and Freaks and Geeks on dvd is good, especially the last episode when Lindsay turns into a deadhead and goes on tour... oh and That 70s show on dvd...
