You vote for discrimination against homosexuals. This makes you a stupid ass motherfucker. This is the only reason you need to not vote for Bush, even though there are hundreds of reasons Who shall disagree?
except that kerry and edwards are doing EVERYTHING they can to skirt this particular issue, (neither are for it) so as not to tarnish their image with homosexuals. there are quite a few democrats who are also against gay marriage. frankly i just don't understand it. why is anyone against it? besides the "marriage is between a man and a woman" thing. that's a completely religious tenet, not anything based at ALL in secular reasoning.
yeah kerry and edwards can suck my dick, but at least they arent pushing for amendments to ban gay marriage.... im not saying vote for kerry... im saying DONT VOTE FOR BUSH. and some democrats of course are against gay marriage because ignorance is not a party-specific thing... its everywhere. in everyone... different forms or another
I don't disagree, but Kerry seems to oppose gay marriage and favor gay unions instead. I don't know where Nader stands, but voting for Nader just seems like throwing away a vote. Kerry isn't perfect, but he is our best hope for unseating Bush and replacing him with someone better. I'm voting for Kerry in November primarily because I can't stand the thought of four more years of the Smirking Shrub.
you know what they need to do? form a religion specifically around homosexuality and the unions, start marrying people within that "church," then take the states to the supreme court over the states' refusal to recognize gay marriages. i mean, if the scientologists can just throw some crap together and call it a religion, then so can anyone else.
right on! That's sort of how I feel. I just received an ad in the mail from some wannabe state senator, and one of his "high points" on why you should vote for him was because he was in favor of "traditional marriages." I threw up a little bit and then threw the damn thing away. To believe that gay marriage is wrong is to believe equality is wrong as well.
