What do you all think?

My dad says the internet is going off at 10 Pm every night from now on (including tonight) because I went to bed at 6 Am this morning and woke up at 6 Pm (about an hour and a half ago).

My dads turning off the internet because I am sleeping during the day.

I think your father is being logical, but overreacting. I could understand if it is only for a short period of time, so that you "learn your lesson." I've had the exact same thing happen to me too many times to count.

I hated my mother for it.
But she was being smart about it, I guess... At least she only did it temporarily...

 

To be quite frank, the package deal is logical, though I feel that your father may possibly have something (Plantain?) up his ass.

If it works for you, it works for me, but if you didn't have some form of problem with it, I suppose you wouldn't have started the thread...

 

I have no life and all I've done in my spare time over the break is play Everquest 2, Chess on Yahoo, visit these and other forums and go on myspace.

So I am angry. I wont be tired enough to go back to sleep. I'll probably just pace around the house for 6 hours or something. I was going to wake my dad up when he went to sleep.

 

All that's coming out is that it sounds like you're just craving for some herb, to me.

when I was your age, I was limited to two hours a day on the computer (2.5 during the summer). It was good though, kept me from wasting too much time

 

yeah mymom always tells me to get off the internet.
i never do. unless i feel like it.
one time i stayed on until maybe four in the morning.
and was waytired.
so she was like that's what you get.
and i was just like mmmyup.

she sometimes threatens to take internet awaybut i need it for school so.
i win.

 

I've had the internet taken away from me so many times. Mostly just punishment for other stuff.. I had it taken away for two weeks last time. I couldn't even sneak on because my mom took all the cords to work with her. I found better ways to occupy my time. It was a good thing. Nevertheless, it was nice to have it back, especially for homework. I had to do all my work at school in the library at lunch.

I've also been limited to 3 hours a night. Personally, I think that's reasonable too... But I hated it at the time.

 

Yay my dad didn't turn it off. Its 10:10 now.

of course, the problem with rules like that is that you always have to test them out, see what the consequences are
