I thought I'd seen a thread like this before, but I did a search and nothing came up......

What brand/type of serger do you have?
    Are you happy with it?

I have an elna, 4 spools, I'm not sure which model number.

I love it! It's very user friendly, and I *knck wood* haven't had any trouble with it at all. I've had almost a full year now, it's wonderful. Make sure the place you get it from offers (free) classes on use, because they are essential.

    Good luck!

I have a BabyLock 4 thread serger. it is one of the base line... pro line models. I love it. I got it used from a local dealer (it was a floor model so I got a really good deal on it, it was under 300 bucks) I love it. It has worked great so far, but yes make sure that someone can show you how to get around your machine, and remember to clean the lint out often. :p

I have a four thread simplicity. My husband bought it for me for Yule last year on ebay. It was under $200 and has run great. I use it several days a week and have had no problems.

Me too! I want one so bad, but they are expensive and we just can't afford it right now. I'm trying to do research now so that I can get a good one when I do get the money saved.
    One of these days......
