Stimulus of the brain does not always constitute thinking in my opinion. When you're walking down the road, you're nervous system is obviously relaying messages throughout your body signaling it to move. However, when you're walking down the street, are you not generally thinking of something other than "left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right"? Or if you put your hand on a hot skillet, do you not pull your hand back before the thought of, "Holy fuck that hurt" crosses your mind? The argument can be made that this does require input from the brain, but it's not the same as sitting down and thinking something out in my opinion.
