    heres what i KNOW

trey was fucked up on heroin all of coventry. the rest of the band was sober and were pissed off at trey

fishman hasnt played the drums since Coventry. he has canceled dates and tours. he will proabbly not play any of the said dates in the near future

mike page and jon are working together to get the band back up and running, they know that what they do is going to have to be spectacular after giving them so many chances.

trey is very stubborn. it was his idea to end phish (we all make mistakes, dont be mad at trey)

trey is living in manhattan, in an apartment building with other famous people and rockstars, paying 20,000 dollars a month.

3/4 want to get back together. hopefully trey will stop wanting to play with all these famous people, and want to play with the boys again.

i got this info from fishmans brother, dave.

All I know is Fish will only play long term with Trey. So for Phish to get back together Trey has to be all in. Thats the only way.

so we have to sit and wait for Trey to come back to us.

no, im serious, this is all 100% true. I love phish so much, and i want them back like everyone else. I know fishmans brother, Dave, and this is the news he shared with me. He is close friends with my sister, and I went up to her house to check it out. He was there to visit becuase he is moving away from boston.

you think jerry lived in a shack when he died....he had a very nice, very exspensive house. there not role models, they're musicians...

It will happen, just a matter of time. My 'sources' agree with many of the rumors posted. Hopefully, they don't half ass it and actually get back into heavy rehearsing again prior to playing out live. Their music is complicated to play - unless they rehearse the material and put all their effort into it, it could end up being 'Coventry part deux' which no one wants. If and when they do come back, if its not full throttle, it won't last for long.

Nice. If they got back together I'd be the first to buy a ticket to their first show. I saw them in 2000, the "Farmhouse Tour". It was such a sweet show and experience. To see all these happy people enjoying great music. That album isn't their best, but I liked it better than Ghost. On the song "Dirt" they played a 25 minute jam at the show. SPectacular with the glow sticks and all. Anyway, Trey was kinda the heart an soul of phish, but I definately think that they'd be cool w/out him. They'd just have to find a new frontman. ANy ideas? Ben Harper, if he left his band and became Phish's front man would be effin teriff. There's plenty of talented guitarists out there, and if anything thinks that Trey was the best singer ever, well...

i love ben, but a replacement for Trey? you make me laugh. And for the record, Trey was not the heart and soul of Phish.....Phish was a four headed Multi-Beast made up of the amazing talents of Mike, Trey, Fishman, and Page!

ben harper? eeew, phish isnt phish without trey, the same way it wouldnt be phish without page, or with out mike or jon, it would be something else.

The Dead may have had a lot money, but Jerry was still down to earth- financially and socially. He cared about his fans- he kept ticket prices down, he didn't immerse himself in materialistic things like his fellow rock stars. He also cared about his fans: the Dead played together up until his death. Trey broke his band up. That's the key difference. And besides, Trey should not be compared to the legend Jerry.

I dont see why he shouldnt be compared to jerry. They're both extradorinary guitarists who caputered the hearts and souls of alot of people through music. Why not compare them, theres obviously going to be good and bad things about each of them.
