oh I think all people are born evil, I am actually convinced rich people have a tendency to just be the ones who take that evil and are willing to embrace it in a constructive way (rich and powerful) my problem is when people decide that the only reason an entire economic strata can't get off it's feet (and no one directly said it, but it was hinted at quite a lot) is because some other force is oppressing them, sometimes people are just lazy, the main selling point of fast food is right there it's fast, and you don't have to cook it, it takes the "burden" off of you to cut that onion, sautee it, put some cheese on a slice of bread and warm it through that people argue that fast food is cheaper stupefies me, nearly every person in america has a t.v. but there are people here talking about perople who don't have a fridge well, come on now, if your priorities are that fucked then you really should be institutionalized or something.
Guilty party here- Sorry-- I had to resurrect it as I kinda used the forum to go after a member for posting an opinion of his so I kinda ressurected & hijacked it to try and right a wrong. It kinda grew legs as a result.
Now about 80% of the above we are together on - one of us is making improvements (I am sure it must be me (grin))
You are doing one of two things 1. Posting someone’s else’s pics in your gallery 2. Buying into the American anorexic myth If your BMI shows you as obese, I will eat my mouse pad
Shut up, just think 1 fat guy could had plug the hole in the Titanic and saved a lots of people from freezing to death in the Atlantic Ocean.
yeah, but beign 5'1" and 160lbs does technically an obese person make (according to a BMI site anyways). It's not a huge deal to me, that I'm overweight, but when people start judging others based solely on their appearnce or weight (especially since my latest weight gains have been from some medication) it just PISSES me right off, liek the op did :S
This thread seems to be rather popular, huh..... Truthfully, I don't see why.. But that's just me. I'll shut up for the time being.
I think that fatness can affect thought processes too. Nobody said people should be judged solely om their appearance or weight but thyat is no excuse for staying in a state of obesity
Actually, some people have certain health reasons that may prevent them from losing weight. I'm positive many of those(if not all) people would just love to lose weight, but it may not be medically advisable unless the other physical condition(s) are dealt with first. So please be fair.
People are what people are. If somebody wants to lose weight, they should lose weight. If somebody is frog marched into losing weight by society it is not going to make them or the people around them happy. This country calmly accepts 55,000 deaths a year in car wrecks and we put out tons of ink about the "fat" question. Let us try to get a handle on what real risk/benefit thinking is folks. Weight is just the fad of the moment in medical circles. In a few years, it will be some other alarming national trend that we should all worry about. In the mean time, the single greatest risk factor for 95% of the folks on this thread is dying in a car wreck. But we do not have a safe driving forum or why the automakers are trying to kill us thread. Besides my mom told me it was mean to pick on folks about the way they look and my sainted mother was never wrong.
Now that Christmas is over the fatties say-: " That's It. I am on a diet now!!" Yeah, right and my Grandmother is a cowboy:sunglasse
Anyone see those apalling porkers on American Idol? Sweat Idol maybe. Then again Ruben Studdard is morbidly obese. he was exceptional though
