i bought some dread shampoo from knotty boy, and i found myself not washing my hair for weeks until i read somewhere that its better to wash it every 3 days to keep natural oils out. my dreads are only a few months old and i was wondering if it would be good to wash your hair that often or if its better not too.

to be honest your natural oils will cut down the less you use chemical shampoos. The only reason we produce so much oil is because our body is making it doublke time to make up for what the shampoos strip. I use a natural soap bar once a month and then every other time i shower i get my dreads wet. but ive had mine for a few years.

When mine where the age yours are i washed them twice a week.
