Dick Clark isn’t the only one who should have a “rockin’ New Year’s Eve” this year. Spread some holiday cheer by inviting your friends to a vegan party that just might inspire them to make a resolution to go vegetarian in 2005. It’s easy to plan your celebration with these must-have party products and recipes. Kick off your New Year’s Eve party with hors d’œuvres that your guests won’t believe are vegan. Even the swankiest connoisseur will be fooled by the faux caviar from Caviart, and the truly posh can nosh freely—that’s right, no fish eggs! Satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth with dairy-free cheesecakes from Delicious Choices, and wash it all down with a glass of Silk Nog, a thick, creamy, egg- and dairy-free nog available in most supermarkets and natural foods stores. Then, raise your glasses of vegan wine or champagne from Smithfield Wines or the Organic Wine Company as you toast the New Year at midnight.
heh, its so ez to be vegan and be healthy and happy with what you eat. its such a mindblow that people buy into this whole dairy and meat bit. i guess since i turned vegan with ease, ive been open minded enough to look at the whole thing with clean eyes, from many angles...not being afraid ill have to give up some dumb habit ive been taught or see something i dont like about what helps compose my REALITY. and every angle i see it from, it just looks more insane and stupid and makes less sense everytime... and i wonder why the hell people cant just wake up and drink some godamn vanilla soymilk? why do mothers not realize that when their babies are switched to whole cow milk(!!?)at whatever age... that their getting allergies and stuffy noises and diahreea, that its from the MILK! the antibiotics, the growth hormones, the stress chemicals emitted from the animal, the pesticides, the clogging of young arteries and depletion of minerals from the bones... HELLO.... its heartening to watch the organic food industry grow though, and im fortunate to live in an area where its very popular. its been growing and growing this past year, and veganism is becoming muuuch more common(the founder just died relatively recently i learned, though im sure veganism existed in many different ways before this dude came along). organic food has doubled in its stocks every year for like 5 consecutive years now though, and is now a multibillion doller industry but i do think we need to start going vegetarian and vegan instead of just eating organic, meat and animal products are actually meant to be side dishes(if anything)
