Hi, I wanna do LSD pretty soon, but Ive read somewhere, that .. some people never come down from their trips.. like, theyll stay fucked for the rest of their lives.. is that true? And.. what is the lenght of a trip.. I have read that it can last like 10 hours... but come on... is the "mindfuck" with LSD more intense than those of shrooms, if yes.. I wont be able to last 10 hours... Can you also compare LSD to shrooms in good details. thanks
The "Staying in the trip" is bull. You can expect the trip last 8-12 hours. The come on dosn't really compare to mushrooms, takes a bit longer and you don't have the feeling of mushrooms. (Only done shrooms once)
I've always come down but the experiences have always stayed with me. Depending on the dosage it is much more transcendent and intense than shrooms. Just make sure your with friends you trust and a enviroment where you feel completely at ease and comfortable. Fruit, water, great uplifting music, cool friends and nature are always my best companions during my travels
the experience can last a long time. 8-12 hours is pretty average. you can't compare acid to mushrooms. you could compare LSD in KNOWN DOSAGES to pure psilocin or psilocybin in KNOWN DOSAGES, but mushrooms are a natural product and can vary considerably in potency, and LSD found on the street is never of a known dosage. a "hit" may contain anywhere from 25-250µg (MICROGRAMS - millionths of a gram), and so it is impossible to fairly compare dosages outside of a clinical setting with known and trustworthy doses. LSD can very easily be very much more powerful than the average mushroom trip, but then there's no average mushroom trip, really. however if you take just the right amount (in my experience 2 hits, but then i generally get weak acid) you can feel pretty nice but be a little less intense than an eighth of average potency psilocybe cubensis mushrooms. you can't get stuck in a trip, thats bull. however, there are some serious mental risks involved with taking LSD or any other psychedelic if you have preexisting mental problems or if you have a family history of mental problems (particularly schizophrenia). people who have a family history of schizophrenia and a natural tendency towards it who will most likely develop it on their own anyway will sometimes experience a quick or very early onset of the illness. this does not happen to mentally sound people with no family history of such problems, however.
actually i read 80% of people admitted to psychiatric for schizophrenia have no known family history of the disease.
Lots of that sort of stuff is hazy in my mind, but it is general consensus that people are more likely to develop mental illness if you have a family history of mental illness. That doesn't mean it's a definite or anything though. Here is a quick link I found about it, not too in depth or anything just something I found quickly: http://www.schizophrenia.com/research/hereditygen.htm
One of my buddies has done a bunch of acid, coke, shrooms and shit and his mom is a skitzo. Id be kinda sketched if i were him
Yeah your buddy should be careful, Mr mush. Stebo,The really intense part ends after about 3 hours. Even with bigger dosage(like 300ug), after this time or so, you should be able to start playing games again (pouring a glass of water, communicating). Then it clears slowly, you re-learn how to live.
I remember from a college psych class that if one parent has full-blown schizophrenia each child of that parent has a 13% chance of developing the disease to at least some extent. Obviously taking LSD could increase that risk. Even if you have no history of mental illness in your family, if you have a preconceived notion that you'll freak out and lose your mind, you increase your chance of having a bad experience. No it won't last forever, but brother, you can have 8 hours or so that you won't soon forget. I've been there.
imo the mindfuck is less than shrooms, i always feel more in control, but on the other hand the visuals are much stronger and the duration is much longer
Theres this guy who walks around over here that never came down(that's what people say anyways) he just walks around mumblin' random shit, talkin' to someone who isn't there.I've seen him twice, and man I wouldn't wanna be like that.
He probably already had metal heath issues and or mental disorders ran in his family. Sometimes Psychedelics trigger schizophrenia in some people sooner then later if it runs in your family. That's something to conceder first, before venturing into this lifestyle. The fact is; this is rear! AND> Do you know for a fact that they're not just assuming his condition is just as you said, by the close he wears or the way he looks. Every time someone assumes something negative, there are in fact cursing him. break the chain and wish/think him wellness Unfortunately society unconsciously trains some people to look down on anything that is displeasing to the eyes, Sometimes a face may appare to be angry but in fact that person can be the nicest person you have ever meet. how often to any of you walk over to a very fat person and talk with them Etc... The eyes of this world are blind! If we where all blind we would judge so much less if at all> Cheers
yeah well.....you health is worth more than mere experience. There are better things to do than trip........doesnt always seem like that though
i have a schizophrenic living next door. he always asks for cigarettes, and sometimes has arguements with his imagination in the middle of the night. once again, i recal 80% of people admitted to psychiatric wards have no known family history of illness. does anyone know what this means?
Environmental pollution perhaps, Over stimulation; after all there has only been less then 100 years of technology, video, electricity ect... People have evolved over time 100,000 + years and there's only been less then 100 years of this kind of bombardment of this EXTRA electro magnetic energy all around us. I believe certain minds just lose it and can't handle the extra UN-natural stimuli. It could be just one element to the answer to your question Ever wonder why when you go to the mountains far away from the cities how relaxed and centered you become. Who really knows! cheers
This kid ive known for about 10 years has within the last year or two developed a mental problem which im pretty sure is schizophrenia, hes had no mental issues in his family, and im pretty sure its from acid and/or mushrooms, he'll just start geekin out when nobody else is even in the room and mumbles to himself all the time, its actually really sad cause i was good friends with him when i was younger.
so many people around me will like be off doing meth or something, and then will be like "oh yearrrhhh mang, this guy my friends met, he think he's (insert object, glass of orange juice is popular) and now all he does it try not to (blah blah)" but we all know better than them dont we
