anyone into furniture restoration?

    my dad restores furniture, he used to make heeps of money out of it, but there isnt much of a market in this area for it, im not too sure about where you live. dad says that 10 years ago he used to earn thousands of pounds a week, but its jsut not liek that anymore

    I'm not terribly into woodworking myself, but in my area (Middle Tennessee), I think that the demand for this has also gone down in the next few years. My brother-in-law used to restore furniture in his spare time, but the deamn is gone, and he makes all of his spare money by turning duck calls, pen sets, and bowls. He also makes custom wooden guitars (okay, he's working on his first one bit by bit and has 2 standing orders waiting).

    Good luck though, that sounds like a lot of fun.
