Who's the Animals? How can I know if I'm a die hard fan if I don't know who they are?

I dig the Animals, they have had some good tunes. Im Mad would be my fave. Burdon has such a recognisable voice he always stands out. Some of their riffs are great pre-punk chunky and still with a taste of blues at times.

Plus where the hell would we be without the Animals? No Animals means no Chas Chandler. No Chas might mean Jimi being a session man for Curtis Knight!

House of the Rising Sun is a traditional I believe, and if you are tired of it the way you hear the animals play it, tune in to its use in the Blind Boys of Alabama's version of Amazing Grace!
