why do people buy these??? their not particularly that much tastier than whole grains, and their deefinatley a lot more toxic and less healthier than them. so what gives? why arent people informed about this shit? i have a theory, that the healthier people become...the happier theyll become, and life will be a little better for us all. now i know all said whole grain products arent magical health food with life energy beaming around inside of them. and some of the breads even have hydrogenated oils in em, and the big brand whole grain cereals now advertised are absolutley saturated with refined sugar... but is it not a huge step up in treating our bodies with little more respect and therefore becoming that much closer to a little more well being(something im sure many of us could use a lot more of), and therefore taking those around us a bit closer to that to? but, afaik the only reason their really made, is for convenience or money... so when are we gonna stop telling big brother were convenient and easily bought off, and tell them to go shove it because we care about ourselves???
I think that people see "enriched" and assume it's better. They don't get that they basicly take apart the grains, mash them up and get all the good stuff out, and then put fake good stuff back in. It's sad that people aren't more educated about it...
The simple truth is the american people are slaves stuck in a never ending cycle of go to work go home, pay taxes, stand in line, believe what the tv says. You see, there are things far more dangerous things than wmd's and terrorism, the most dangerous weapon of all the most potent control device is the illusion of freedom and that is what we the american people have
i feel pretty free being an american, you know, since im free to believe whatever i want, look however i want, and marry whoever i want. what's this illusion you speak of?
that is the illusion all of those things are those small freedoms you listed dont amount to anything and your not free to look how you want there are dress codes at all public schools you cant marry anyone you want same sex marrage is still against the law and as far as beliefs go they cant take them away but they can and discriminate and persecute them
Yeah, public schools have dress codes, but they have them for a reason. It's nice to know that some psychomaniac can't hide guns under his trenchcoat at school. It's also kinda nice knowing underage girls aren't wearing hot pants and tube tops around horny assholes. You gotta put some sort of a leash on these people. Sorry, I wasn't aware that gay marriage is illegal. I was under the impression that they were voting on that still. That IS fucked up. But the point is, I'd rather live here than anywhere else. Good old RED WHITE & BLUE.
The thing about the trenchcoat is a good point and so is the part of the little girls and short shorts, but nowadays (in my school at least) the teachers let that slip by and they target people who wear t-shirts with activist quotes on them. Even when I once wore a shirt that said "Save the milk for the calfs" with a dead calf next to a cowboy sucking the milk out of a cow's teets (I don't know how to spell that right), and I got suspended for 3 days, for some reason.
I would think that if America didn't have such a tendancy towards comfort in violence & we actually taught our children greater understanding of others, etc that we wouldn't have to worry about dress codes. I don't think coats are really the problem. I think people also have a right to wear whatever they wish...now whether or not you yourself find it skanky shouldn't be an issue. Hell, people should be allowed to be naked if THEY like it. Though it may be disturbing in say....public gyms. BUT! It's the the freedom that counts. I think true, we're free in comparison to tyrany...yes. PseudoDemocracy is the real...& someone left the constitution in his other pants. Also, gay marriage is illegal in most states & still is at the Federal level, I believe. The issue is whether to legalize it. I could ramble on about that, but that's the wrong thread. <3
