gotta love it! do you know any knitting men? my man just got me to teach him how to knit. he's making a scarf for his mom. it's so cute/sweet/sexy.
I know how to knit. Don't do it much, but I know how. I also know a few men who like to knit hats. (OK, they probably learned in order to impress the woman who taught them.)
I plan on learning soon.....just need to wait for money to get supplies cause right now it is all going to setting up my music studio/ hemp and paint.
Knitting is not metrosexual. Men knitting was common in the trenches of WW I. Now; choosing which knit sweater goes with these pants is a metrosexual issue.
yeah seriously....thats like saying i am metrosexual cause i know how to cook very well and sew and what not.....but thats not cause i am metrosexual thats cause i lived on my own at a young age and couldnt suck up my pride to go home to mommy so i learned how to take care of myself....and besides that not many peoplpe consider a guy with a beard and an old raggedy truck metrosexual.
I've taught many men to knit! Several of my guy friends were constantly asking me to knit them scarves or crochet them iPod/ mp3 covers so I taught them. One says it's good exercise for his fingers as a guitar player.
I was going my first year in "Waldorf Schule" and boys were taught to knit. There was no problem whole klass were kniting
yea him and i are doing a sweet dreaddie goods trade we had a knitting club at school and like the whole football team of big tough jocks joined for fun but they were actually really good and got into it..LOL! i also love the papas who sew and make patchwork *awwww*
Yeah...I just find crafty people attractive. I mean, I like to be friends with people who are into making clothes, jewelry, drums, beads, music, good food, you name it! I have personally never known men who knitted yet, but I have known a couple of guys who could sew beautifully. (Oh, I take that back! I just remembered two from years ago! Artisans, for sure!) I guess I just really respect people who have a passion for creativity and for the crafts that they do. Personally, I am more interested in stuff that is functional as well as beautiful. Knitting can definitely produce things that fit that description. Yes, it's coming back to me. I met a man in BC years ago that made gorgeous intarsia tams. And I met one at the Colorado '92 rainbow gathering that crocheted tams as well. If you think about it, learning to knit would be a great way for a guy to meet women. If I am knitting in public, or wearing something that I made, another knitter will see me and we'll start talking and sometimes trade phone numbers. If I see someone knitting I often can't help but talk to them. It's like a club! Imagine if you were one of the only guys in this worldwide club!
