was banned by mtv........ I wonder why??

I watched the video and didnt see anything bad about it?? maybe there was too much rough sex for them to handle?? and a guy puking on the sidewalk???

 

I think I saw that video..is it one with a guy in a toilet? something like that...it caught my attention that it seemed to be about gay guys getting it on in a toliet? I might be mistaken, but i could recognise it was the strokes' ... still I was surprised about what i saw but i might have been wrong too as i only got to watch a bit more before the ending.

 

that was a very different type of song for the strokes...



hmm, maybe it was banned cause of a variety of things. the people video taping the lesbian porn on the roof, the guy who gets knocked out of a cab and vomits, the scene in the bathroom, maybe what david cross says...maybe they just didnt like the old lady cleaning her floor with wine, and the dog that she had.



it was a very strange video...i guess i can understand it being banned, but then again, mtv shows alot of shitty videos anyway that could be worse then this

 

oh yeah, the two guys in the toilet...... thats probably it...

 

and I would say that the title "juicebox" is probably not anything youd get from hi-c or welches........

It's the strokes attemptimg to be shocking. What bullshit! this just shows whata superficial world top 40 shit has become. A world where something like this, is shocking! Of course they can show half naked girls and complete sexism, as long as it's all glossed over. Or maybe it's just because America is becoming an even more conservative country....

And well bands like the strokes, people only like them because they hold with them a hope that classic rock as we know it isnt dying. It's stupid how we like these throwback b class bands just because they remind us of something from the sixties.

 

I like The Strokes, but I fucken hate classic rock.
In my opinion, the video was banned because the song is truely horrible. It has no redeeming Stroke-y-ness at all.

 

I´ve seen the video in holland a few times, but I don´t remember it was such wild. mabey they played a censored version or my memory such bigtme :sunglasse

i didn't really get the whole thing either.i didn't find the song that good anyway.doesn't sound anything like them.i haven't heard the rest of the album so i wouldn't really know.
