Any book by Dr. John McDougall would give you valuable insight as to what a healthy and complete diet looks like.

ANDREW WEIL all the wayy is who i'd recommend. very highly regarded in both the holistic community, and even by mainstream media and the regular community..and i'd think many people here would share this reccomendation wholeheartedly.

mom got me one his books for christmas, and its makes nutrition and learning about this all VERY interesting, hes a good writer.. while i dont agree with everything he says, hes taught me a LOT about health and really set some easy to follow foundations and ground rules for what i eat...and he seems like such a geniune person with good intent in his books, trying to make people healthier spiritually and emotionally too, and talking abou thow important diet is to it all.

but you can probably find a couple of his books for free at any library, thats what i did with the first book i read by him.

also, diet for a new ameirca by john robbins(sp?) is supposed to pretty good as well.
