I'm unemployed and they are giving me €165 a week to scratch my ass. It's cool because I go back to my old job in 2 months, but in the meantime I get to sponge of the government and I've no expenses cos I'm living in me folks house now. Result me thinks!!
try living in america... i had no job and was sick. the government wouldnt help me out cause i had 2100 in the bank. hello, i needed that for food. it wasn't like i was rich. here, you either stay dirt poor (under 2000 dollars at all times) and get medical help, or try and save up to be able to afford to take care of yourself, but die in the meantime cause you cant see a doctor! sorry, i'm a little bitter at my country.
Now that I'm unemployed I also get free health care and if I wasn't living at home with my folks I could get rent allowance aswell. The whole idea of 'tax and spend' has been demonised in America, I don't know why, social welfare helps alot of people who are stuck in bad situations, yeah it gets abused a bit, but that's no reason to punish everyone.
The goverment is there to protect not provide. If everyone was freeloaders, there wouldn't be any monny left. The goverment has enough debt as it is.
The government has such a debt because of huge military spending during the Reagan-80s, and is running such a ridiculous deficit because of the war in Iraq. Dozens of countries with much better social programs than the states run a balanced budget (ie: Canada), and we still have "monny left".
collecting unemployment really isnt something to brag about, free money is nice but i like to know i worked hard for the earned green. oh, and you wouldnt 'god bless' the government here if you lived in america...sometimes i think there against the people
didn't Paul Martin purposely overestimate the budget all the time though so that it seemed like there were surpluses every year?
In Makedonija if you are employed you'll lose your job becouse we are in ''transition''.And then you'll get nothing. So,here it's fucked up. I'm gled that you're taken care of. Where do you live?
