More accurately, the homicide count in all of Jamaica is less than 2000, around 1,800 per year and is at an all-time high. read me To suggest that Canada should monitor, and then assimilate these "affiliates" of gangs and "foreigners" and ship them to a problem country is rigorously callous, not to mention totally devoid of resolving the fundamental problem. To even think that the media should forcibly take an active interest in "rounding up" whomever could be deemably suspect as an "affiliate" is overtly moronic. Those kinds of comments have no merit and have no place whatsoever in a peaceful discussion and this forum. Feel free to express your discontent by participating in the new anti-gang and anti-weapons programs already growing and underway in your area. im in toronto almost once a month, and its easily one of the worst cities ive ever been to, and ive been to alot, I think the only city that was almost as dirty and horrible was miami. I have also been to many 3rd world countries which obviously are worse, but I dont bring that up in a conversation about north american cities. I think its up to the mayor and the police to take care of this problem using whatever means necessary, my suggestion would be to do what they did in new york. And the foundation of what they did in new york was double the size of the police force. Start from there and work your way through the problems. Also worry less about us marijauana smokers... I cant tell you the amount of times that ive been hassled and lectured by cops about "the dangers of weed ruining my life", maybe we should talk about the dangers of gangs killing innocent 15 year olds? But they would find some reason to arrest me and probably beat me down if I brought that up
