i'm hopin on goin to amsterdam soon, i'd just like u guys to give me some advice on what to do there, where to go, and what to buy
To start you off, click my sig below. Apart from that, the hipforums meet around Queensday in Amsterdam also members from the ''Channels'' and ''everyonedoesit'' forums also meet up for coffeeshop tours and lock-ins. Have a read of some of the recent threads here, it all depends what your into.
1. Dont rush and go in to the first coffeshop you see right out of central station,that first hit is a memorable one and unfortunatly many of the shops in the CS area arent as good. 2.Research your coffeeshops:each is different in its product,quality,price,variety and clientale. Find opionions and ratings, check out their pros and cons and make a list accordingly. 3. Relax and try not to make an ass of yourself, fun being able to smoke and get high legally,but unfortunatly alot of people who come to amsterdam see the the tolerance and see it as an excuse to act as they please. But have fun.
i might be going to amsterdam for spring break...but i will be with me dad so i wont have as much fun as i would want to
Great and sound advice but I beg to differ in the matter on one point. Central CS to the left of Centraal Station is well worthy of a first stop, and has been mine for each of my two trips visit thus far. Will be on the 3rd come April. After an 8+ hour flight, the only thing I want to do is stash my bag in the luggage locker at Centraal and roll to Central CS for a fine 2.5g bag for 12.5euro and watch the day come to life out the front window. over 50% of people in Amsterdam speak english. Furthermore, what is truely amazing is that 70% of the population of Amsterdam is of non-dutch heritage. There are over 450 NATIONS represented by the population of Amsterdam. Thats more diversity then any other city in the world!
