I've seen the series twice on TV now, and the DVD is available and worth buying IMHO.
How odd it is that the very things that were cause for concern for us of the hippy generation 1960's - 1970's are now coming to fruition and being exposed big time by such productions.
Also read Buckminster Fuller's book "Critical Path" of the same era. He was employed by the US govt as an economic warfare specialist of the time and knew shit from clay, and he leaves no doubt that dollar-driven capitalism will result in the annihilation of the very ecosphere in which we live. And all for a piss-ant quick buck.
Like chief Seattle's famous prophecy some two hundred or so years prior.
Like Bob Dylan says ~ How many roads must a man walk down, before he can hear people cry?
Like the Mad Max scenario may become reality.

  6. I think its a really good achievement. The best part is that its pretty accessible to anyone with a brain who wants to find out about the state of the world. So as far as I see it probably has and will open the eyes of a lot of less educated people about these issues.

what really stuck in my mind from that movie was the whole episode with the fox reporters losing their "whistleblower" status in court. the fact that the court decided that a media company asking their reporters to falsify the news wasnt illegal... man , that just made me shudder.

Vandana Shiva is my hero. This movie rocks. Everyone should rent it on DVD, and check out the extended one-on-one interviews with activists, scientists, academics, journalists et al.
