That happened this past week up on Long Island, where I live. It was gorgeous! Now it's 26* and snowy. It was nice while it lasted.

It has been incredibly warm down here (GA) for January. Except for a few days, it has felt more like late spring than the middle of winter. Global warming, perhaps?

Just the natural variations in weather, nothing that gets me concern.

heh...........i've noticed, something wierd is going on, I live in far Northern Vermont, our winters are usually snowy from Nov-Apr with at least 4-5 foot base of snow on the ground, and alot of sub zero tempratures, so far this winter, we haven't had over a foot of snow on the ground at any given time (less than 1/2 foot at the moment!!!) we have had really odd weather, i mean the weather here is always insane but this is ridiculous, days of sub zero arctic weather with no snow, then 50 degrees and rain, and like today, it was 45 and raining all day, as soon as it got dark, the temp plummeted to 15, everything froze to ice and it started snowing, this has been going on and on, ski resorts are havin a tough time of it, shits flooding, then freezing, ice jams, insane wind........it's just been really really odd

much of the midwest is above average temperatures, we in Detroit are about 12 degrees above normal. I'm not concerned much either, because weather is anything but constant.

The weather here has been strange also. First off it hasn't felt like winter at all. On the rare occasion that it does, it doesnt last longer that a day. We havent had any snow yet and that sucks because i was really looking foward to it. :(

We've had like 10-12 degree weather here in Southern Ontario, which is rather warm for this time of year, when we should be getting snow storms.

Here in PA, it has rained more than it has snowed all winter. It snowed early on in the winter and ever since its been warm. Windy as hell, but warm when its calm out. Short sleeve weather. Which usually around this time of the year its shitty out

^Basically, you just described exactly how the season has gone for us, too (in Detroit). That seems to be how it is all over the Midwest and parts of the Northeast. Probably just has to do with the jet stream.

Yeah, if you're looking for a change in weather in Michigan, just wait five minutes...

But it IS unusual not to have snow in January though...

It's totally taking a toll on me though...this 50 degrees, then 30 degrees, then 20 degrees is totally getting me sick.

Southeastern Ohio's been pretty livable this winter, which is unusual but not unprecedented. When I first moved here from Iowa in '81, it was 72 one day in December and I'd thought I'd moved to Florida. We've had a few cold days this year, and the temp does plumment after the sun goes down, but Ive enjoyed every day so far. Just hope it don't get cold and stay that way till May like it seemed to last year.
