I know there's a thread about narnia, but these fuckers who adapted it, they made it a bloated piece of hollywood bullshit! They completely missed the point of what C.S Lewis was doing with narnia. In ways they took out the "Beauty" of the original story. To me Narnia was like a reminder of everything good in life, and I loved the way C.S Lewis focused on those small factors in life which make it great, like food and emotions. But this Narnia was just epic trash, a vessel to make a nblockbuster money maker. At points the acting was so bad it was laughable! It was just like Lord of the Rings, except it was Narnia.......and the digital effects pissed me off too AND they got Aslan's mane wayyyyyyyy too small!!!!! oh IT WAS SHIT IT WAS SHIT IT WAS SHIT IT WAS SHIT IT WAS SHIT IT WAS SHIT!
I didn't like it either. It was too literary. Not even very funny. I've never read or watched it , but from the adverts, it was the shits.
I wont go and see it - i love the old ones where lucy has a lisp and big teeth - they are great. The graphics are the best as well lol - and the way the lions mouth moves when he 'talks'
Call me crazy, I thought it was beautifully done. I thought the effects were really well done and the scenery and story line were equally amazing. Just my opinion. I'm not a huge fan of C.S. Lewis, but I thought they did a really good job...
The only parts I noticed they got wrong were about discovering the wardrobe and the nature of the professor (he didn't do a military inspection, weren't encouratged to explore, etc...) But I thought it was great. The old ones scarewd me cause the popel dressed like talking animals is just creepy, but this one was pretty awesome. I pictured the scenery a little different, but thats cause where I am from and what I am familiar with.
God i thought i was the only one. Narnia is very hippy, fun, powerful and pure adventure The kids suked, little kids were going home to wank over susan and peter was a nob edmund was ok but the white which wasent supposed to be fit- they should have used the mad quella de-vil type actors. And the begginging was wrong with the proffessor ARGHH!
