    Sexing:

When growing pot from seed, there are 3 possible outcomes:
    Male
    Female
    Hermaphrodite.

When plants begin to flower (dark periods of 12 hours continuous per 24), during the first 2 weeks males will express sex by growing "balls" (pollen sacs). They look like the balls outside a pawn shop. When you see a plant growing balls, dispose of this plant a.s.a.p.
At about week 3 of flowering, females will express sex by starting to form buds.
The entire floweing process takes approx. 2 months.

    Hermaphrodite's:
you don't want these. They are plants that first grow balls, then buds, and will pollinate themselves. You'll end up with seedy buds, and any seeds will carry the hermaphrodite gene.

Poor growing conditions (especially irregular light cycles/light leaks during flowering) can turn female plants into herm's.
