Confest in april in New South wales in Australia is wicked. Good vibe,not commercialised. More alternative lifestyles festival than music based.

 

What's the name of the fest that is held over new years?? I think it's in the Lismore/Nimbin area..... always thought that was the Confest, but now ur saying that it's April

 

Confest is held at New Year and Easter. Traditionally it has been held in Murray or Murumbidgee irrigation area.As it is much harder to get hold of a site to hire, they decided to buy land about 15k south of Deniliquin, NSW.

Tickets are always cheaper to buy in advance before arriving.See the web site link listed below.Personal gas lanterns are not allowed.They are quite happy to recharge any rechargable lanterns.Contact DTE if you are unsure about what brand to buy.There are no personal camp fires allowed.At the last Confest gas stoves were already set up in community cooking areas, so there is no need to bring along your own stoves, although you can if you wish.You still need to bring your own utensils though.

I was camped by my grey Land Rover in Access. I wore the confest uniform most of the time.
