Why does it seem most of the attacks in Iraq are against other Iraqis, rather than the US/coalition troops? I mean, of course soldiers die too, but mostly it seems like the bombs are going off in mosques, markets, and streets, not really anywhere near Americans. What's up with this?
My best guess: The US troops are standing down, packing up, and getting ready to leave. Not for home, but for Iran. That bloodsucking leech in the White House won't be satisfied until he's provoked a full-fledged world war with a hundred million dead. But it's okay, Jesus Saves, all will be forgiven, and Dubya will have eternal life.
It's a Civil War between them. And in any war it's poor tactics to expose oneself to massive fire-power such as that protecting UK/US Troops.
secterian shia shite... also there is a sort of mania for doing suicide bombing it as to do with the supposed rewards for dieing as well as the killing of the target . its a way to prove your commitment to god that you are prepared to kill yourself for him . its a much more selfish thing than most people think as your told your going to get rewards not just for yourself but for family . we are not on the ground to see the reasoning of each attack, but the bomber may think for example that a specific place attracts hypocrits "fake muslims" its very hard to get in such a persons head to say what their thinking . in algeria you had one bunch that thought that the only real muslims in the whole country were in this one small group, which was basically one family and all the rest were kafirs and fair game to kill . if you read a lot of islamist writing you can see that to some people non muslims are the target, but to some its broader than that , to some its leaders of countrys that are not as they see it islamic enough . and to some others its the population that arnt islamic enough , to these people even if you were not in another sect, if you lets say supported democracy and not sheria even if you said you were muslim you would still be a target
Most Iraqi groups point thier machine guns at US and coalition forces. It is the foreign insurgnents like Al Qaeda that are planting bombs and doing suicide missionnsgainst civilians.
