Bloody Grand Band! As I write this I'm listening to footage of T In The Park on BBC3 and they are performing Girl From Mars grand bloody song! I saw them at Glastonbury Festival in 2002 and they were fucking grand! Ash are fanbloodytastic! 1977 a fantastic album! Ash definately one of my favourite bands and on the best bands I've seen live! Does anyone else like them?
Never really gave them a chance. Then I found out they are irish, and suddenly I'm drawn to them. Irish accents drive me crazy :H They are playing Leeds fest...may pop by and see them if they don't clash with anyone else.
Yep, I remember Ash, I used to love them when I was at college, before discovering dance music! 'Girl from Mars' was great but 'oh yeah... start of the summer' was my favourite. Didn't know Ash were still going, I'd not heard anything from them since '98! I guess I'm a bit out of touch with the indie scene these days!
i LOVE ash... and the bassplayer is Gorgeous! One of the songs youi have to listen to by them which isn't really that well known is 'Does Your Mother Know?' It's a cover of the Abba Song! F-A-B, Penelope!
I used to love 'Oh Yeah' too... I've been listening to some of their old singles recently and for some reason I really love 'Burn Baby Burn' and 'Goldfinger' (I think it was that one)... ~lovetulip.
They are one of my favorite bands ever, have seen them loads......I grew up listening to Ash as am the same age as the band members (and born in 1977 incidentelly)....Some fantastic songs my favourite two are Uncle Pat and Girl from Mars....
