how do you know how he plays poker? Its not about being smart, its about knowing the game, and knowing how to read people. you dont need to be a rocket scientist to get the hang of poker.

 

Jimi's not talking about "getting the hang" of poker... he's talking about MAKING A CAREER OUT OF IT which is complete madness, considering you need a rather large bankroll which i doubt a sixteen year old has...

ok can every one on her can just shut the hell up because I'm fucking smarter than most every one on here except when Im high which is when i post on here so I probably do seem a little stupid. Secondly, Im ALREADY good enough to play with pros and if you think im kidding you can lick my balls because I knocked one out of a tournament and have played with others done fine. Also, Ive played a lot of high stakes poker and done well, and when i say high stakes i mean i brough $500 to a table and left with $2,000. By the way im 16 and 2 years in minnesota till i can play legally and 5 until i can play any where else. And people were saying your money can go up and down a ton, which is true but, if you're a good poker player in the long run you will be up $. But, since you can go up and down a lot thats why im going to need my half shitty job to support myself through the bad times and I think this is really what I want to do with my life.
Also, every one on here is bashing me for choosing poker as a career. Well alright but can I remind you that this is the marijuana forum and half of every one on here is a douche bag and has no money and no career. OR their career is dealing which is way dumber of a job to have than poker.

Nobody was bashing you man. We were just saying that it would be difficult to support yourself with poker winnings alone. It's not the smartest career choice. We never said you were stupid either, at least I don't think anyone did. Also, I'm not a douche bag and I wouldn't consider anyone else on the MJ forums to be a douche bag either. I'm sure you're pretty good at poker to even consider making it your career, but most of those guys you see on tv playing in those tournaments probably have full time jobs and just play poker on the side. Life is expensive, and playing in a few tournaments isn't gonna get you through. That's all we were saying.

you, the smartest of all the hipforumers? (and 14). unlikely. Although I do believe that if what you say about your skill level is true, you could make poker a side career, and maybe someday, a full time. Not sayin its the smartest move, but dumber moves have been made.
