Amtrak = incompetance...

just got from my trip to see emily and whew the train sucks...next time i shall fly the friendly skies i musta spent 30+ hours in transit...

 

Yeah, ride the rails like a real man.

 

Amtrak is hampered by pork barrel politics.

Joe Shmenke, D. East Nowhere, doesn't want the rail line to stop going through Cow Buttock, East Nowhere, pop. 125, so he plays backroom politics until they agree to route the Chicago -> New York corridor through his little backwater.

And every other backwater between the two points.

 

ride on the front of the engine....thats hardcore

 

actually amtrak just fired their president..... some Gunn dude. he says its because he made them too much money or something.

 

Well the most important this is, did the two of you have a nice visit together?

 

I'm sure it's first class all the way, compared to Greyhound. Go cross country on a bus and you'll see how bad it can really be. I did it once, but never again.
