I recently did a little searching after watching a program on NOW. They were discussing the "politics of oil". So, that was my search criteria...just a few of the things I found... Cheney, former CEO of Haliburton, the worlds largets oil services Company. Cheney and Wife hold large stock opions in Haliburtion Commerce Secretary Donald Evans holds 950,000 shares of Tom Brown, Inc. a Denver based oil company. Secretary of the Interior, Gail Norton worked for a right wing law firm, Mt. States Legal Foundation funded by Oil and Auto companies. National Security Advisor, Condolezza Rice was on the Board of Directors for Chevron from 1991-1993. Her financial assest include 250,000 shares of Chevron. EPA Administrator Christine Whitman owns corporate shares in 5 oil companies, as well as Ford Motor Co., and owns 863 acres of oil producing property in Texas...(a bit weird to have an oil "baron" as an EPA administrator...IMHO) I'm still searching....lots of reading out there folks. Yeah....it was never about oil now was it?
Thanks for the post, maybe now all those people on these forums who actually think Bush and Co. made this war out of their goodwill, love of mankind and democracy will actually realize the truth. Peace and Love, Dan
