problems

    No, reformatting your hard drive is what you must do beofre you reinstall windows. This can be done with a boot cd if you don't have a floppy drive. PM me if you need instructions on how to make a boot cd.

    a BOOT cd? the one that came with my computer? thats what was asking for a disk..

    oh well. i'm giving my dad my computer. and if he cant fix it, i'm buying a new one.

    Hikaru Zero please correct me if i'm wrong

    now you mean to get files in dos with system disc right? but how do we copy our files like music, pictures etc.. in dos based system to cd or another computer ? i 've never tried this part before all i know to get them in to another 1,44 mb disc :)

    We use dell's at the tech support center where i work. If your not wanting to do anything big and fancy the the entery level PCs will do just great :) only like 300 bucks too!
