You can get piercings similar to the ones on the nape pretty much anywhere on the body like arms, wrists, shoulders etc
I was thinkin about getting the surface wrist, or the sides on my stomache but im leading more to the wirst.
I have my nape pierced and I have thin dreads that often get caught on my nape. It's a wonderful piercing and I love it but if you're worried about getting it caught I wouldn't reccommend it. Here are some pictures of mine: http://www.hipgallery.com/photopost2/data/500/75752005-01-31_011.jpg http://www.hipgallery.com/photopost2/data/500/7575word.jpg You may want to consider getting your Madison pierced: http://www.bmezine.com/pierce/11-surface/A60106/high/bmepb201334.jpg Or your Cleavage: http://www.bmezine.com/pierce/11-surface/A60110/high/bmepb202355.jpg http://www.bmezine.com/pierce/11-surface/A51223/high/bmegl187437.jpg Or your hips: http://www.bmezine.com/pierce/11-surface/A60106/high/bmepb201218.jpg
yeah I like that hip one too another one I also liked was a sureface bar peircing on my big toe. sounds odd but its really pretty actually and it would be a good peircing for me because I am always barefoot. But I dont want that for my first peircing.
I wanna get my hips done maynnn! But yeah, I thought u were just gonna go for the wrist peircing Kelly? I think you should either go with the cleavage, collarbones, or wrists.. All of those would look awesome on you
im getting my hips done when i get another tattoo.....then i would have like 17 peircing only 2 retired
Surface bar on your big toe sounds like a bad idea. It seems like it would get bumped and caught on things like socks all the time. Also, you've got to wear shoes/socks some time.. so even if it was healed a shoe would really irritate it.. not to mention the bacteria. Surface piercings are not as easy to heal as normal piercings and require more care to prevent them from rejection. The rejection rate would be higher too because your toe bends and there is not as much loose skin there.
yeah well even if i did deside to do the toe, it wouldnt be the first peircing it would e later down the road so def a wirst im thinkin
wrists can also be one of the hardest of the common surface piercings to keep. they catch on so much more than youd ever expect them to, and with the amount of movement the area goes through, chance of rejection is very high. just something to keep in mind
for a first professional piercing DO NOT get a surface piercing. those are the hardest piercings to heal in my opinion. often times they never heal. the only times they work out at a decent rate (maybe 6 out of 10 will heal) is by using punch and taper method. the artist will dermal punch the exit holes (removes all pressure), then tapers between the holes. this should only be done by VERY tallented modification artists. you still dont know how your body will react to a simple, easy to heal piercing, let alone a surface piercing. and even if they heal, there is a very good chance they will migrate a lot. try surface piercings after you have had many piercings, and you know your body well enough so that you can decide the best method to heal them. if/when you decide to get a surface piercing, i recommend you get a surface bar with flat discs instead of balls. the only trade off is that it will be harder to keep clean, but theres less of a chance it will snag on something. for your first few piercings, no need to go big and hardcore. try a little ear work, maybe a little oral work, navel, nipples, etc. (not all at once of course ). save the surface piercings for when youre really really prepared. and if you want to read up about them, bmezine.com has lots of experiences written about them, but keep in mind a lot of those are written with in a few days after they were pierced. you may find this helpful.. http://encyc.bmezine.com/?Surface_Piercing
