I read that in junior high and was floored. I tried to do a book report on it and my teacher freaked and took it away. It was a long time before I got another copy. Interesting read, though I never was quite sure if it was real or not. Bright Blessings! Aphrodite Pretty
Yeah I read the book in skool but it done the opposite. It made me want to take drugs. Love and Peace.
I bought the book when it first came out---I still have it. The pages are all brown but still readable. For back in the day, I thought it was good. Go ask Alice spoke to alot of teenagers then; true or not it gave you insight--it left you to have your own personal conclusions. It could probibly speak to the youth today---who knows. Sunshine
I LOVED THIS BOOK! This book made me want to go take some drugs though, it didn't scare me away from them at all. I have to go get another copy of this since it's been years since I've read it!
One pill makes you larger And one pill makes you small, And the ones that mother gives you Don't do anything at all. Go ask Alice When she's ten feet tall. And if you go chasing rabbits And you know you're going to fall, Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar Has given you the call. Call Alice When she was just small. When the men on the chessboard Get up and tell you where to go And you've just had some kind of mushroom And your mind is moving low. Go ask Alice I think she'll know. When logic and proportion Have fallen sloppy dead, And the White Knight is talking backwards And the Red Queen's "off with her head!" Remember what the dormouse said: "Feed your head. Feed your head. Feed your head"
I really hate Beatrice Sparks. Her supposed "true stories"- stories that she took and added whatever she wanted to them to sell books- have really ruined some people's lives. What she did to the family who trusted her with the information with which she wrote 'Jay's Journal' really disgusted me.
