Who or what has affected your life the most?

Who or what has made the biggest change in your life for better or worse?

I would say my father has affected me the most .He was a alcholic growing up we never had a conversation untill I was about 14 and living on a boat with him. He is a veitnam vet and a product of the 60s . His best advice he ever gave me was to never stop learning allways trust my heart and to follow my dreams no matter how crazy they are. He also said not to get married until I was atleast 30 so I could be sure I was in love. He and my mother have allways supported me no matter how stupid the shit I was doing was. When i was young I used to hate them alot now I relise me and my father are carbin copys of each other. I used to think I did not want to be anything like him now I know I am proud to be just like him in many ways. I hope that in my old age I am still as freindly,cool,loving, and forgiving as he and my mother have been! Its true what they say when you are younger that in a couple of years you will mature and react diffrently to situations and they (whoever) is telling you is right.What a long strange trip its been!!!!!!!

Thanks Mom and Dad for teaching me the most important lessons I will ever learn in my life!!

I love you mom and dad and I promise I will never stop learning!!!!

Noone really......i don`t know father so it`s not him,my mom...even i love her,she is just to difrent from me,so it`s not her....yeah nobody!

 

My wife dieing just a week ago has sorta altered my life.

Unfortunatly that the hardest thing to deal with in life.
I hope you get through it with out to much paine.
I am kind of at a loss of words now .
I would like to say something to comfort you but I just dont know what .
All I can say is that you now your wife loves you and eventualy she is going to want to see you healed and happy again .Its just going to take along time so please try to only remeber how much you and her loved each other not how much time you spent together.I hope that I am not offending you I have lost 2 of my best freind recently and I know the subject is hard to speak about so thanks for sharing.

Hm I think some experiences I had during childhood(like everybody else heh).People being mean...uhm...dad being a part dad...mom being weak...Anyhow..I change frequently Change is part of who/what I am.

My mother and father both had a negative effect on my life, but I'm the person I am today because of it... and I wouldnt have it any other way. :sunglasse

My wife is the best thing that has happened to me. I feel blessed to have someone who loves me so much and someone I can love just as much in return.

Diz, the guy who's given me music lessons ever since I was 10, has probably made the biggest change in my life. He was the first person who told me how cool it was to just be myself, has given me advice and support whenever I'm feeling down, introduced me to some AMAZING music (Greatful Dead, Zappa, and less-than-super-popular Beatles stuff as well as stuff him and his friends write and play, and of course, neat classical), taught me how to rock on a supposedly non-rockable instrument; my bass clarinet Yoko, and talked about politics and issues in the world. As a result, here I am, my own individual person, not letting my parents or anyone else have a say on who I am or what I believe, and very musical!

Well, for me..I guess my mama is where all my strength has come from. She has since passed away, but I'll forever carry what she gave me. My babies definately completely altered my life. They would be the best things I've accomplished so far..my reason for living. I'm so very proud of them both. They've been through alot, and have sometimes been my backbone even.
There are many things that have altered my life along the way...my first Grateful Dead show in high school. It was then that I was on my way to finding out allllll about myself. *sigh* Those first trips were the best, eh??

 

Pot, for sure.. My dad, but not my mom much... it's a kind of sad thing with my mom--she's so naive... she's like a small child that has to be kept in the dark for her own good, except she almost 50. Music, especially frank zappa.

 

drums , drugs ,fulltime work , train racks (where i used to hang out as a kid), beaches ,water , oxygen , family , friends , fruit, faith in wotever , river jumping , everything,

ive never had to deal with a death, my dogs on his way out , ive had him since i can remember , im wonderin how i deal with it.

What? I would have to say that my thru hike of the Appalachian Trail completely changed my life. I classify parts of my life my life as before the AT and after the AT.


Who? My father. Mark Twain once said "When I was eighteen I thought my father was the biggest fool alive. When I turned twenty-one I was amazed at the wisedom he had gained." My father taught me to think for myself and to act and reason on a logical basis.

 

Mushrooms and music esp. the Haight bands and the Beatles.My father taught me to think for yourself but when I started doing it he didn't dig it.But I love him anyway.LOVE PEACE AND FREEDOM

 

All the wonderful music i listened to, all the wonderful books i read, all the people i met, all the men i loved. My boyfriend, who is my greatest and probably my last. My family.... Oh and i gotta say i'm definitely happy 10 years of communist dictatorship didn't influence me that much, i've met enough people whose lives and brains are pretty fucked up cause of that...

 

What would be summer of 2003, I classify my life as before Summer of 2003 and afterwards similar to AT9.

Thats when I met several people, including my current girlfriend, who completly changed my way of thinking and perception of the world; and opened my mind.

My ma and pa have also been a big help.

 

Everyone I know, people walk'n the streets downtown, some of u guys. Last, but not least ones who I love&care, including my BF.
