I've done a lot of reading about slab city as theres a few sites out there that talk about it. I just wanted to know if any of you have been there and could give us a real world view of the place. How are the folk, do they care if you smoke the magic green? is that water hole/spring really as cool as it sound? Just what ever you want to tell, Also I wanted to get the word out if someone wanted to know of a warm place to stay in the dead of winter... http://www.desertdutch.org/slabcity.htm Mike...
I went there once to visit my great aunt, as she and her little dog would camp there every summer in herBounder (or whatever those RVs are called). Since she was an older lady (60s) and my aunt, I have never thought of this being a "family" oriented place, but it prolly has some of that, for sure. (I figured it was more like a "retirement city.) I didn't go to the springs or whatever, but I remember when we drove in, there were some unclothed people walking down towards it? Or something, man, I was prolly 9 or 10, I don't know. It is warmish though. That should have clued me in right there, heh, bellybuttons showing and all... Peace!
