Okay I have my favorite pair of warm slipon clog like shoes, Their inside is lined with a fluffy wool like material, But I have worn away a part right near where my toes are and the rubber undersole is exposed and keep putting holes in my socks. Every day their is a new hole im my damn socks and Ive been racking my brains trying to figure out how to fix it. I dont just want to go out an get a rubbery dr. sholes foot bed cause I hate them! Any Ideas on what to use to fix them!! I cant bear to part with these shoes but I cant affordf news socks everyweek either :(

peel out the original liners, as intact as posible.
Find fleece (as in the fabric) or mock sheep fleece (the wooly stuff) and cut two pieces to fit. Using probably shoe goo glue or another good crafts glue, replace the liner soles.

i once made my daughter a pair of ballet type slipper shoes. i used the plastic type placemats you can find in dollar stores. i cut out the sole shape and put this between layers of fabric for more stability. you could use a layer under fleece or a soft fabric to keep it from wearing through so fast.
