iv never noticed this part of the forum before so jsut though that i would share my love for africa. may grandparents were missionaries in kampala, uganda and lived in a place called nemirembe (if i spelt that right) grandad ha da printing press in another village thats hard to spell. they came to england in the 70's during the conflict with adi amin. my dad has not ben back home in 45 years, a long long time, but he never forgets africa. i used to love hearing stories about his childhood, living on a coffee and tea plantation. i said to my grandad when i was 4 that i would go to kampala and do what they did and they laughed at me. strange things is i have come in contact with an organisation that adopts aids orphans and gives them mothers, and a family and education. they are called watoto. i painted at one of their concerts a while back when they toured the UK, they have a great little choir. i am hoping to go there in october november time with my dad, as he very much feels it is time to visit his homeland again. i am quite looking forward to the familly history lesson. i hope to live in kampala for a short while to teach art in the watoto school, but we will see how that goes! anyways, i jsut wanted to share with you as i dont get the opertunity much!
