Hi everyone going amsterdam next sat for just 1 night, found this hotel it doesnt have a map does anyone know whwre i can get a map im coming from central station, thanks Amy x
Walk out of Central Station and head up the main ''Damrak'' street directly infront of you. Look out for the unashamed tourist trap coffeeshop called ''Grasshopper'' on your left. Head that way and as you stand outside it's front door turn right to a street called Beursstraat, where your hotel is. You will not have to walk more than 5 mins and you can't miss the Grasshopper either. General maps can be picked up from tourist office or most gift shops on Damrak street. The cheapest hotel I know of near central station is the ''Old Nickel'' €35, but I have not stayed there myself, only at their sister hotel ''Old Quarter''.
No I don't live in Amsterdam, but maybe one day I will. lol Myrtje is right, almost everything is near the RLD. Your hotel is just a minute walk from the main RLD. Be prepared to put up with lots of relentless street noise though as your hotel is placed where you will get it the most both day and night.
