Hey chick- I'll tell you that these prices will probably be a lot cheaper than your hotel. for the time period you're talking about (first two weeks of August are peak season) it's 25Euros per day per person during the week and 30Euros per person on the weekend (friday, saturday and sunday) there are two rooms, a four person room and a two person room. Both of the rooms are in a house I work in (keeping it clean, looking after guests) that is in a really comfy, kinda quiet little area near the Amstel River (about 5 minutes walking from Amstel Station). We've got a couple of really nice (locally patronized) coffeeshops, and a huge shopping street with really inexpensive supermarkets, internet cafes and banks... You have use of a kitchen for the time you'd be here, and a bathroom that a max of six (compared to 15-100) people will use at a time.
