The rebel flag no longer stands for heritage to the majority of the world. The simple fact is that hate groups adopted it as a symbol of hatred, and that is what it has now come to represent.

It's similar to the swastika's history. The swastika was not a symbol associated with hatred until the Nazi's adopted it as theirs. Now, of course, it has come to represent hatred and genocide to most of the world, even though there are some people who still use it to represent their heritage.

I saw your two kids in your gallery-very cute. Havign southern prie is fine, I love the south actually, especially atlanta and virginia. Half my family lives in tennessee and mississipi shit my full name is even Lynsey Jo...I spent the second year of my life in TN...def born a southern girl but the flag has other meanings that are not symbolic of southern pride but rather racial hatred.
