Definitions of a Hippie!

i am what you are.

 

i find it easy to just wear what comfy, belive what i belive and express myself with the people i enjoy talking with such as most of you guys here on the fourms, and my close friends, but i think there is a stero type, i get called a dirty hippy alot, "Tree huger" is a real big term my way.. i live in beaver county Pa about 20 or so miles outta pittsburgh, and theres alot of farming familys, still even dairys and diffrent animal farms around, and i love it here, open free woods, there are many ways to pass my time with all the creeks and just beautiful landscape of my area.. but i run into alot of problems, high school was one of them, ive always been into the long hair and colorfull clothes, beads and hemp necklaces and stuff like that, as far as i can remember.. i acttually have pictures of me at a young age in a patchwork sleeper, i dont know if anyones ever seen these.. my mom claims to have made this one. but growing up and still to date always hassle from kids at school, local boys mostly, always threatingand calling you names, "hippy,junikie,Tree hugger" just to name a few.. but i think dispite all of this the thing that matters most is to be true to yourself, respect mother earth, and her gifts, aswell as every being on her.. but just to sum it up i guess ive been rambling, people have a problem with stero typing one another, and just because i dress this way and belive what i belive and dont want to go along hunting with them, its like im the odd " Pussy ass tree hugger" in there eyes and this isnt always easy to deal with, these people act like my bandanna is hurting them personaly.. and trying to find a date for prom.. well ya when ur the " weird" one its nearly impossiable.. but i think everyone should just be happy with who they are and well just live for peace.. (ps. im tottaly happy i ran across the fourms, its really great talking to all of you and knowing im not the only "Tree Huger" out there!! Peace n love -matt (sm0okey)

 

Dont worry about what other people think. As long as you're happy. Do you think you are a hippie to impress people? I know Im not, and noone should be. If people dont like who you are "tough titty said the kitty, but the milk's still good". My dad used to tell us that when ever we complained about something little. It makes me smile. Be what you want to be, love your self and others, but if you need to ignore someone dont be afraid to do so. Maybe they'll get the hint. Dont let them see its gettin to you. Make then think it has no effect, and maybe just maybe they'll stop.

 

No kidding. I think one of the biggest drawbacks of my generation is laziness.

Whenever I feel down, I do something about it.
-walk around and explore
-drink organic tea
-draw
-play music

It's really not that difficult to toss out junk food, tv and consumerism.
It's a hell of a lot cheaper that buying anti-depressants for the rest of your life.
