Hey everyone....Well in the next 4 months or so I should be finnishing up my paralegal certificate and I will begin regular college.....I am apllying to Life unviersity to be in their dietetic program....they have dietetic and nutrition - i have to find out the main differences.......but anyways this world may have one more vegetarian dietetician. Note: I thought it was funny how the school policy says that you have to try the food that is presented to you so you can tell your clients what it is like, but that for special diets like vegan you still have to taste but you may choose not to swallow) thats kinda humorous...anyways - peace.
Wow, congratulations! Will you be specializing in vegetarian/vegan diets? I think that's a silly rule too... why would you be forced to try something like a food supliment drink, but not a mouthful of something like a gardenburger? Oh, I can see the jokes already... "Yes ma'am, I chewed but I did not swallow!" love, mom
yeah thats gonna be funny.....I mean I see there point of view, and at least they are TRYING to be sensitive to my personal beliefs......thats more than i can say for most people......oooh yeah you know it.....if i really end up doing this then yeah im going to try to mainly focus/reach out to the veggies, and maybe help out the highschool ones with special things like helping out there clubs in some way......but then I wil also have to work with omnivores to support myself and what not...
Interesting, I didn't even know they had a department of nutrition. I am familiar with Life as a chiropractic college, but I keep forgetting that they have more going on over there. You would probably want to go for a BS in Dietetics, and if they offer an approved internship program then you are all set. The differences between a BS in Nutrition and a BS in Dietetics are that you wouldn't be eligible for an RD with the BS in nutrition.
