Hey guys... Well, I gotta say, for me its been about 10 years since I've done acid... I remember back in high school and university, it was everywhere... $3-4 a hit... (we picked up bulk a few times - $2 a does if you picked up 50 doses..). and it was good... lots of blotter and tab... (purple double barrel microdot I remember was everywhere)... Anyhow, since then haven't touched it in years... mainly for different reasons (you just can't trip with kids around)... it just didn't seem right... Also, the stuff has disappeared (can't find it anywhere)... esp being over 30... its not as easy to find - But for some reason the interest has always been there... Anyhow, my point.. I read a recent article about Hofmann's bday, and what his discovery has done to the world... There was an amazing quote in the article by this scientist guy who used it, and found a solution to some huge problem people have been working on for years... Hofmann claimed that "when on LSD he left a world where he was able to "think" and entered a world where he just "knew". I do know I forgot a lot that I learnt from it... I also know I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for it... At a time my life things were going downhill... and it showed me how simple it is to change anything and focus on a different direction... it was dead easy... But I also remember there was more.. I just don't remember what that was... Its like a "huge secret" is shown to you when you take it... and taken away when it wears off... Its easy to see when your there, and You can explain it others... but they will not understand unless they are there with you... And it was the same every time… Either way, there is something huge and bigger that happens to you when you trip imo... Anyone else ever get this? or am I just over glorifying the old days? I'm not just talking about "cool things you come up with when your tripping, but, something bigger that happens... something we can't see in our every day lives... but is there weather were on it or not... almost spiritual like... I’ve seen posts on here about “cool music, or things to do when tripping”… but has anyone picked up anything “bigger” from it? If so, can you even put it into words? I know where your coming from. I guess it all depends on your reasons for lsd. Using LSD for reasons like you mention are the sort of tactics that therapists used when treating patients with that LSD therapy. It seems like now people in high school want to take acid just to get "real fucked up" because they heard a rap song that mentioned LSD.
Couldnt have said it better, K+...we probably had similar experiences...Some people can't understand, them who could we called em, one of them...But understand what lol it's so far away, I just know there is something to understand . You are a smart guy
But ya know... its not always a bad thing when someone does this for the wrong reason... I know most people (myself included) tried it for the first time just for a kick... It is fun your first few times... but then somewhere down the line (not too far from that point) - you just get one of those "special" trips... where it takes you by the hand, sits you down.. and says listen, I have something to tell you.. and your gonna pay attention... From there, people learn there is more to it than they though... LSD was never meant to be a recreational drug.. if you just want to have fun... drink or smoke... if you want to learn... thats what psycadelics are about. In that sence, one line in a RAP song can change someones life for ever..
