If christianity is allowed to take place, why is satanism so frowned upon? I mean, they're two different religions worshipping two completely different imaginary friends. If in school you say something like "Satan loves you" then what makes that so much worse than saying "Jesus loves you"? I mean, people get suspended and even expelled from school on a large scale just because of their beliefs (I'm atheist so I don't believe in religion).

Just because so many "good people" believe in god doesn't mean that everyone who worships the devil is bad. I know lots of satanists who are great people. They do everything normal, they just believe in a different higher power.

    What makes that so wrong?

from my understanding, satanists don't believe in satan but view him as an archetype for a way to live, a "serve yourself" kind of way of living. of course, you could literally worship satan and call yourself a satanist, but I don't think thats the technical definition. i'm pretty sure about this, but I'm not gonna claim expertise on the subject.

anyway, nobody can expell you because of your religious beliefs. would never hold up in court.

Chances are that if people like you would stop bashing them for their belief in an opposite religion, they might not do that. I also said satanists, not lunatics.

Christianity is just a cash-grab. As long as people have been believing in some sort of god, people have been stealing money from honest people (who are tricked into believing there is a god).

.... would satan love you?

    in any case,
    a) satanism is frowned upon because something like 80% of americans claim some form of christianity as their religion. christ: anti-satan.
    b) have people been suspended/expelled from school on a large scale for claiming to worship satan?

Satanism was originally a form of anti- Christ worship. It is a reversal of Christianity, light is dark, god is satan, they even have a reversed mass and have the Satanic Bible. I think what has happened recently, like in most religions is that sub groups form. Like you get different groups in Christianity, Judaism, Wicca, so too I have found sub groups in Satanism. But originally it was meant as an opposite to Christianity.

On the Hotel California Album... by the Eagles, play the song Hotel California, when it gets to the part "we stabbed it with our steely knives but we just cant kill the beast" play it back wards and it says "see the great man Satan".

    Also,

That guy LaVey or whatever his name is, that wrote the Satanic Bible can be seen on the balcony, inside the album there are the eagles with a lot of famous people in the hotel lobby, look up on the balcony and hes standing up there looking down.

But yeah, I've always seen 2 types of Satanism, the type where its just like you serve yourself, and then the all black cat killing picked on kids from high school, that worship the devil, and put inverted crosses and pentagrams on their arms. I dated a girl like the latter once, except she didnt kill cats. She got put in a mental hospital for a little while.

LaVeys satanism has some interesting philosophies, though some of them are just as flawed as the philosophies of any other religion.
Though it seems that he never really took it 100% seriously. A lot of it is anti religious theatrics.

Satan doesnt love you, he wants to f* you up. Seek and destroy are his only thoughts.

oh and by the way, he really digs it when you dont believe in him at all. That's what he wants.

    heh, nice try.
Christians DO only believe in one God.

but believeing that Satan exisits doesnt make him our God and it is certainly not worship.

I dont fear Him. I have victory over him because of Jesus.

oh yah, and uhhh.....please point out where the hatred was in my post....

saying He wants to f* you up is reality and it's spoken out of love.

LOL, he wants to f* me up too. He tries all the time! And sometimes, like everyone else, i am weak and i fail!
